• Collaborative editing — Presence API enables real-time multi-editor editing with cursor visibility, live change sync, and operational-transform conflict resolution; built into the block editor, no plugin or third-party service
• Gutenberg 22.0–22.6 — Gallery block gains a slideshow view; Data Views system for listing screens stabilised; pattern creation is drag-and-drop from the editor canvas
• Design refresh and performance — default theme ships with a 7.0-specific design language; block editor loads roughly 20% faster due to deferred JavaScript loading for rarely-used blocks
