Jekyll 4.4.1 is out. One fix. That is all.

What Changed

Restored globbed path behavior in front matter defaults. PR #9762.

Glob patterns like path: "projects/*" in _config.yml front matter defaults broke in 4.4.0. Now they work again.

No new features. No deprecations. No breaking changes.

Who Needs This

Anyone using glob patterns in front matter defaults. If you upgraded to 4.4.0 and noticed layouts or permalinks not applying correctly — this fixes it.

Upgrade

gem update jekyll or update your Gemfile. Drop-in replacement. Zero config changes.
