OpenClaw 2026.7.1

OpenClaw released v2026.7.1 on July 13, 2026, the latest version of its open-source personal AI agent platform. The release overhauls the Control UI and onboarding, ships major updates to the official iOS, Android, and macOS apps, and expands model support to include GPT-5.6, Tencent Hy3, and Meta Muse Spark 1.1.

"This release brings together 3,063 contributions from 532 contributors," the release notes state, with fixes landing across Gateway crash loops, scheduled work, remote browser control, workspace terminals, sessions, and goals.

What Changed

The headline change is the Control UI overhaul: conversations are now easier to organize and work with side by side, with live Tasks, clearer chat controls, better usage and cost views, and files, downloads, pairing, approvals, and Gateway health kept close to the conversation.

Setup also got a guided rewrite — clearer steps toward a working first chat, connection checks before saving, and preserved choices when setup is interrupted.

Apps and Providers

• Official apps — iOS and iPadOS, Android, and macOS received substantial work across setup, navigation, chat, voice, permissions, localization, files, scheduled work, offline reading, queued sends, connection recovery, and native session controls.
• Models — GPT-5.6 compatibility improves across OpenAI and Codex routes, Tencent Hy3 gains a complete setup path, and the Meta Model API adds Muse Spark 1.1. Claude, Ollama, ClawRouter, and LongCat also see reliability work.

Coding Agents and Channels

For connected coding agents, openclaw attach now gives Claude Code temporary access to a selected session, Codex delegation and native subagents return tracked results more reliably, and Copilot gains broader provider choices. Long-running sessions and goals are easier to resume.

Messaging channels all improved: Telegram gains live progress, photos and documents, topics, and account routing; Slack improves threads, cards, and duplicate prevention; Discord improves replies, voice sessions, and reconnects; Apple Messages improves replies, typing, media, and chat continuity.
